Transcription Settings (IA)

Configure how the Biggy transcription bot behaves when joining and leaving transcribed meetings.

These settings are available in the web app at Configuration > Transcription Settings.

Organization-wide settings

Transcription settings are at the organization level and affect action plan executions, manually added bots, and incident channel or MIM calls. 

The defaults are calibrated to be tolerant of typical meeting behavior, such as late joins, brief silence, and participants dropping and rejoining. Only adjust settings on this page if you understand how each timeout interacts with your workflows.

The following transcription setting categories and settings are available. Each setting can be configured in minutes, hours, or both:

Joining the Meeting

Waiting Room Timeout - How long the bot will wait in a meeting waiting room before leaving if it is not admitted.

Waiting for Participants

No One Joined Timeout - How long the bot will wait in an empty meeting before leaving if no other participant joins.

Recording Permission

In Call Not Recording Timeout - How long the bot will remain in a call if it has joined but is not recording (for example, awaiting permission).

Smart Detection

Everyone Left - How long the bot will wait to disconnect after all participants have left the call. 

Silence Detection - If the call remains silent for a specified period, configure how long the bot will wait before leaving the call.  

Bot Detection - How long the bot will remain in the meeting if only other bots are present.

After the Meeting

Transcript Retention - How long the raw meeting recording is retained by the transcription provider before automatic deletion.
